May 26th. 10:39 p.m.
My shoes, torn from excessive wear
Hit the floor pathetically
As I drop them to put them back on
I reach for my small bundle of items
And retreat back to the condo of paradise alone and in the dark
The moon isn’t shining on the water tonight
And I have no missed calls from Mr. Wonderful
I drop my things on the bed and some roll off and onto the newly vacuumed carpet
It’s getting later and I still have problems to finish and correct
The slope of X= -5 is non-existent or undefined?
I wonder what does it matter?
“You’ll see,” speaks my golden opportunity
And bright future
“An education is important.”
And it’s draining my bank account for the next 30 years
